Iwant MASSIVE rates rises in GB, the "Easy-money" scum whom think they are great bussiness men are only staying in the game by cheap credit. Once thats gone watch them fall!
Some years ago a private company wanted to build a safari park near Liverpool. The local council called a meeting of concerned citizens to see if they had any objections. A well respected member of the local community wondered what guarantee there was that one of the lions from the park wouldn't wind up in the Kirkby Town Centre?
At that point the local magistrate responded, "well if he does, he would have to take his chances like this rest of us". ;)

Nov. 11 (Bloomberg) -- The Bank of England raised its forecast for economic growth and said inflation may exceed the 2 percent target in 2012 even if policy makers start increasing interest rates from a record low. The central bank signaled that the U.K. economy has starting expanding again and won’t slip back into a recession, according to quarterly predictions published in London today.
George Buckley at Deutsche Bank "The Bank of England's Inflation Report today showed a sharper recovery in GDP going forward - it now rises above 4pc in early 2011 easing back towards 3pc by the end of 2012. Compare this to the August forecast where growth didn't get much above 3pc at any point over the three year horizon...
...Philip Shaw of Investec "Overall the bank's growth projections are firmer than they were in August and the same applies to inflation projections. We think a discussion over potential exit strategies is not far away but it's inappropriate to be considering the implementation of a tightening in monetary policy at this point."
LONDON (Reuters) - Britons are among the ugliest people in the world, according to a dating website that says it only allows "beautiful people" to join.
Fewer than one in eight British men and just three in 20 women who have applied to BeautifulPeople.com have been accepted, an emailed statement from the website showed.
Existing members of the "elite dating site" rate how attractive potential members are over a 48 hour period, after applicants upload a recent photo and personal profile...
...Only the male Russian and Polish applicants fared worse than British men, although Russian women had a 44 percent acceptance rate. Polish women did not appear in the table.
German applicants were slated for offering up unflattering photographs, which may have hindered their acceptance rates at 15 percent for men and 13 percent for women, the lowest rate in their category.
"German men and women aren't faring well, but they are submitting stern images, they need to soften up," Hodge said.
After Enron and the Mortgage Meltdown the bigger question is why the ratings agencies haven't been shut down. At the very least people should have a jaded view of their ratings, yet it seems folks just can't bear to bring independent thought and analysis to investment decisions.
It's clear that ratings are worthless to investors and are about as independent as celebrity endorsements.
If Moody's downgrades you, just get Eric Estrada or Bob Dole to AAA stamp your debt.
