    Greenwich Village - 185.2% gain, or 18.5% per year
    Upper East Side - 209.5% gain, or 21% per year
    Upper West Side - 200.5% gain, or 20% per year

    Washington Heights - 1110.5% gain, or 111.1% per year
    Harlem - 550% gain, or 55% per year
    Midtown West / Clinton - 263.8% gain, or 26.4% per year

    Real estate bubbles in hk and singapore almost deflated completely in the 5 years after the Asian Financial crisis. By 2003, prices almost went back to pre-bubble days of 1994.

    If we go by this measure, the banking crisis in america is far from over.

    Nature has its ways of deflating bubbles, it can be financial, it can be politics, and it can also be act of God, disease, birdflu, etc.
