Soon all Fort Knox gold will only be American ...

From what Max Kaiser says, and he is probably right:
Fort Knox has not had an Audit since the 1960s.

The long and short of it, most nations will slowly take whatever gold reserves they have in the US and move them back home.

You assume we will let them.

From what I'm seeing, they "sell" us their gold for dollar liquidity to bail out their over-leveraged banks. Statement is true, but for the wrong reason.

How about a link to Max Kaiser saying such? At any rate I have read this claim before, as well as rebuttals such as a 1974 tour of the vault by members of congress and the media. Inevitably this topic turns into a conspiracy theory impasse where neither side is willing to budge.

Just for some additional info, all of the gold in Fort Knox, however much there may actually be, was and is entirely the property of the United States government. The New York Fed vault (which reportedly contains nearly twice as much as Fort Knox) stores gold which is primarily owned by foreign governments.

Max Keiser IMO has a bit too much of a taste for sensationalist journalism. He's a very engaging, interesting and thought inspiring commentator - he's fearless, and reports on stuff most lapdog journalists won't - and that' not to be belittled. But sometimes I think he's not a "journalist" in the old, strict, sober minded sense of the word because although he digs up a lot of really solid stuff, he also does not restrain himself from occasional wild eyed speculations. Sounds a bit loopy on occasion.

Zoog points out: "Just for some additional info, all of the gold in Fort Knox, however much there may actually be, was and is entirely the property of the United States government."

If this report therefore were a piece of "straight journalism", he'd have screwed up the "factuality thingy" somewhat, with this mis-attribution, no?

Keiser isn't a journalist, but you don't need to be one if the (financial) press is bought and paid for.

Keiser took the rumor that comex is going bust,he talked about it and it turned out not to be true.

I think he is still an angry trader who plays the oracle

You are right. However having said all of that I do like Max Keiser. I like a lot of his positions and I actually like his personal style. He's just not an investigative journalist IMO, so his admonitions and scoops should likely be taken with due caution.

He certainly doesn't mince words, that's probably why people like him.

You are right, at least in part.

                • The Max Kaiser sites are getting a redo so my links to his radio show have gone walkabout -- but he mentions it often enough that showing a link might be redundant.
                • I forgot about the disambiguation of the 2 sites, but the long and short of it may be the long term emptying of the NY Fed Vault.
                • I expect all nations using the NY Fed Vault to maintain some small reserve to secure transactions in the Americas.
                • Having had a last big audit in 1974 automatically would lead to a GAAP declaration of Audit Failure. An audit once every 5 years would barely bring the facility into GAAP compliance.
                • I am not a conspiracy theory person at all, but a lot of this is almost getting to look like "The Mouse That Roared"
