William Black (former S&L regulator, in his Interview with Bill Moyers) and Simon Johnson (former chief IMF economist and author of The Quiet Coup, in The Atlantic) strike me as having quite different perspectives and agendas.
Black did not criticize the fundamental structure of Anglo dominated banking that has ruled the governments that have ruled the world for the last two or three centuries. Rather he called for Congressional hearings and the appropriate CEO heads to roll.
Johnson wants to bust up the banking elite such as Goldman and JPMorgan and associates. He recognizes that no one, in particular not the IMF, has the power to make this happen. Only the force of dire circumstances could accomplish this.
I would recommend Johnson's article to others. I don't recommend Black.
