      the deal is 100 yrs old. they used to race electrics vs internal combustion engine cars in the 1890s. trick is... keep the track short.

      electric motors have max torque at 0 rpm. internal combustion engines don't reach max torque until 1000s of rpm. off the line even a small electric is faster, but within a few seconds... bye, bye electric. other issues...

      - can't heat passenger compartment of an electric car without cutting range
      - can't cool compartment an electric car without cutting range
      - can't refuel an electric car in 5 minutes

      electrics died 100 years ago for these reasons, still true today.

        The hydrogen car could be a good idea, if we had fusion power plants.



        To fuel it, it takes probably the same time as your normal car, and it doesn't need half of it's weight for batteries.
