Janet had just joined the faculty, when I was doing my PhD work -- her speaking skills have not improved that much over the years -- but she was quite competent, and a reasonably good thinker.

Am I the only one without a PhD here? :confused: (Actually without a Masters as well). I assume you completed your PhD in economics?

No -- actually I didn't finish -- and it was not in Economics -- and start ups were too alluring, and academic egos were too large!
