Just saw this video. You may have seen this already. I apologise if this has been posted already. Fast forward to around 7 minutes to skip the intro.

I liked it a lot. Good for a layman like myself.

A lot of points to discuss.

It's over 2 hours long, but it's worth it in my opinion.

    1. Money -they say it hinders progress.
I say, yes, but such a radical no-money system can't be implemented yet. Another type of credit system could work, the more it is based on value and less virtual (also known as "scam") the better. I think having a system of no credit (i don't mean no debt here, I mean no value) wouldn't work. I don't believe we are unified enough yet. Maybe a long time in the future.

It seems the problem lies from a financial system that is rooted in the Middle Ages and its growing scamness, whereas we've been blessed with technology that is far in advance of the Middle Ages. The problem is not we lack ideas for great technology but we are still constrained by a medieval money system which has limited our technology. We still burn stuff, which let's face it, is pretty primitive. Also, to make real wealth via money we need to turn more of the Earth's resources into wealth to feed the debt which is money. This in the end will cause the human race to die out. I believe the Earth would kill us before we could kill the Earth. Therefore, debt as money must end, or we do.

That seems to be the essence of the problem. What are our chances?
