Can't we just cancel winter? As a renter this year, my electric bill doubled in December, January and February in order to heat the house and I'm a relative mizer with the thermostat. Friends complain that I keep the place to cold. I tell them to wear a hat when they come over.

Sounds like you don't have a SmartMeter yet. Just wait, Babbitd, just wait....

A note on the thread- this can trail off into Dr Laura-Land. You know the one- just east of Alice's rabbit hole, where women are barefoot, pregnant and never leave the castle, and daddy brings home a barely minimum-wage paycheck...and they're all so damn happy!

I feed my family of 7 for $26 a month. Raman noodle 8 for $1. Multiply that by 20, you're looking at 160 bags of Raman. The other six dollars I spend on Maddog 20/20.
They should also include and amortize the cost of heart disease, diabetes, and a liver transplant.
