Interesting that Faber has a similar view: war - though his view is the war arising from a commodity strangulation policy executed by the US rather than a 'short victorious war'.

It is essentially a reprise of the Japan strategy which culminated in Pearl Harbor.

His comments on freedom/democracy in Asia match my experiences when living there. They have far more freedom.
