Lose no sleep over what might have been. Rather delight in the continued opportunity to engage with what is.
Words of wisdom, no doubt and I know meant to inspire. However, Robinson Crusoe had only nature to contend and work with. He did not have to deal with the power and devilry of the financial oligarchy who hold the reins of sovereign states to enforce their will. Moreover he did not have to witness first hand the injustice dealt out to his fellow citizens. On 2nd thought, perhaps it is a good comparison; Cannibals vs financial parasites. Good show now. I suspect FRED and Co. are doing their best to "seize the day", in going against the tyranny of TFPTB (e.g., via iTulip itself).

      Excellent point.

The Powers That Be have many ways of defending themselves from attack, including ridiculing or dismissing scornfully any affective opposition. One must fly a bit below the radar or in partial stealth mode to avoid being painted as a fool, a bigot, an idiot, or a scoundrel by those who control the major media channels.

This defense by the entrenched powers is planted deep into the minds of most people. They will instinctively tune out anyone presenting too unusual a message. One needs to present a reassuring presence of respectability and success to be deemed worthy of a consideration by respectable and successful audiences.
Most folks are good; a few aren't.
