    The Superclass

A new breed has emerged; they set the global agenda, ride on Gulfstreams and manage the credit crunch in their spare time. They are anything but elected; they are entrepreneurs and entertainers, media moguls and former politicians - the self-made super rich who are using their money to lay down a new set of global rules. So where did this new global aristocracy come from and who is keeping them in check? Is the world suffering from a global governance gap?

    Re: Empire - The Superclass

Is this a infomercial for the need for more global goverance? - i.e - the mere mention of global elites, trilateral commisions etc.was conspiratorial not so long ago now we have these muppet talking heads with the argument - we have no alternative to more global goverance considering the realities of globalisation, we must regulate to ensure "they" are kept in check, as currently the elites are not accountable to soverign states blah blah blah.

I would perfer if they talked about localisation of goverance, sustainability and jail time for some of the f*ckers as real alternatives imo. They should read Lord Acton and take a look at swiss goverance imo.

Yes - Al Jazeera exists at the sole whim of the Amir of Qatar. So a description of the problem, and a white wash solution is in order. A call for revolution and Jacobin fervor would not be looked on too kindly
