I think if China and Russia agree to join to new world order that is created by the west there will be no need for gold as reseve currency.
If not some independent kind of money will be needed...and it is possible that gold will be part of it. However the goal is to create more and more virtual money system so gold would be a big step back. Decision makers and big bankers doesn't won't money that is harder to manipulate so who will push gold to be reserve currency? I don't see anyone.

If Gartman is such a freakin' genius, how come his fund is down 6% from when it was intruduced ?? During that time frame the S&P is up 35%+ and gold bullion is up 11.%+ and the HUI is up 26%+.

IMO, Gartman is WAY too clever for his own good. If you take other people's money and go long of the S&P 10 units and then go short of the S&P 10 units ( while taking big management fees ) you are hailed as a genius. Long of gold 3 units in pound sterling, short of gold 3 units in yen or some such nonsense...... rinse and repeat..... often. Get on TV a lot and use big words. Say you think gold is going higher BUT ALWAYS make sure to tell your "sophisticated" followers that you ARE NOT a "goldbug". Do this often. "Baffle them with bullshit" is the phrase that comes to mind.

Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. Gartman bugs me.
