*** EDIT: This was already posted just yesterday; apologies for the duplicate post ***

*** FRED, Please delete or move ***

I was made aware of Janet Tavakoli yesterday by symbols.

After some research about her work, I found the below-noted interview both current and relevant.

During this interview, Ms.Tavakoli makes some interesting comments about the current economic situation, particularly about mortgage-related CDOs leading up to the current crisis.

She is the author of Dear Mr. Buffet, Structured Finance and Collateralized Debt Obligations and Credit Derivatives & Synthetic Structure.

    Notable quotes:

"There are a lot of nudist in America right now" - Tavakoli

"We have a financial oligarchy" - Tavakoli

"This was not a model issue; this was a management issue" -
    Tavakoli

    (Runtime: 59 min.)

C-SPAN: Our guest is Janet Tavakoli, author of Dear Mr. Buffett: What an Investor Learns 1,269 Miles from Wall Street." She describes her meetings with investor Warren Buffett prior to the economic downturn. Program from Sunday, April 19, 2009.

Tavakoli's got my vote, for President, or Treasury Secretary, or similar.

Lots of small interesting remarks in the interview, such as on her time in Iran.

She's got my vote for Playmate of the Year. Rrrrrrrrrrr:cool:

Seriously, this is a great interview. Combined with the Forbes.com interview, there are many great quotes. She does not pull to many punches, that's for sure.

      Thank you Largo. (wiaLW?)

Btw: Does anyone do an interview better than Brian Lamb? He seemed upset. More often than not, Lamb displays no emtion at all.
