For the first time ever I received a notice from my homeowner's insurance company about a program that rewards $5000 for information that leads to an arson conviction on a property that they insure. I suppose with more and more people upside down in their homes that this option has become more popular...

The cause is problematic.

The neighbor is also underwater.

This trend was spotted by a Southern California arson task force in the summer of 2005 when gas prices spiked. At one point, firefighters responding to a report of a vehicle fire arrived at the Los Angeles River Bed to find two SUVs burning at the same time.

This happened recently in my home town. The woman's father built my previous home. The home had recently been taken off the market after failing to sell.
