    All fine fun in Summer, I recall my cycle-days & how bloody pleased I was to get my provisional lience .....I not been on one since!
    The Head of the British National grid said that the plan is to force 13 million cars off the road, have an all electric fleet by 2040-2050...

    I remember the "Brain-drain" of the 1970's......loony policy of high tax, poor standard of living saw lots of smart (wealth producing) people move overseas........all that a nation like Canada or Oz has to do is offer a better deal......& they get our young smart people & the Limey scum will fail...again!!!

    That's what happens when you have a brush with death, it changes your outlook.
    But to be fair to the idiot in charge he did use to cycle a lot when he was Mayor of London.

    I'm glad Covid is making government think of changing how we live, we should have a Nanny state because most Westerners are too bloody stupid to make the right choices, though I think i'm being to harsh.

    When certain companies have GIS tools where they can predict if they place a shop near a school they can this revenue you going to get trouble, or when if we advertise on this TV spot?
    Obesity needs to be tackled, and the state will have to get it's act together.

    As for Electric car fleet government should use tax policy to get that outcome.

            In my experience it's the opposite. Take responsibilities away, and people start to act less responsible as a result. There are vast differences in the level of responsibility of average citizen across European countries, much greater than the difference in average intelligence between these countries (and perhaps not even correlated with each other).
