Mike, you reminded me of my trip to the UK last year (I am going again next week). I am really, really sorry about your choices there.

Is it possible, the reason why it was called the Great Depression was because people really became depressed? Were people so fat 7 years ago? Have people been drinking a lot more beer and spirits in recent years?

I would hazard a guess that UK residents interested in finding a partner overseas will be taking advantage of the geopolitical situation in Ukraine.

I'm guessing it would be a bit like investing in energy in early 2009.

Is it possible, the reason why it was called the Great Depression was because people really became depressed? Were people so fat 7 years ago? Have people been drinking a lot more beer and spirits in recent years?

I would imagine cheap, plentiful prepared foods with lots of chemicals and lots of GMO high fructose corn syrup has made its mark...and yes, the more depressed you are, with less motivation to better your circumstances, the more you tend to eat comfort foods...high calorie, big taste foods...and you don't need alcohol...just all those sugary energy drinks.

Once fat, you cannot get your body to release all those toxins the fat cells are holding from contaminating your organs without some serious devotion to veggies and meat...with no starches. After a few years, you will have reset to your optimum body weight, but you can never, ever go back to fun food...just fruit for dessert, and Dark Chocolate with Stevia...not even chips and beer for the occasional football game. It's too easy to relapse. And it's worse than alcoholism, because you don't have to drink to stay alive...you just think you do.

But it costs a lot, requires immense self discipline, and it takes perseverance, none of which an unemployed, uneducated, snacker is likely to have, particularly when they are being encouraged to do just the opposite by the Political Corporate Complex that encouraged them into the bad behavior in the first place.

Middle Eurasians will have the same problem if they start eating the same diet.

The Corn surp, & something else......."Alco-pops".....which are gin or Vokda laced with Sugar to hide the taste............look am nothing specal..........but am 5 foot 7 & a bit & 12 stone.........i need to be 11 stone & am working on it.

But BLOODY HELL, forget the sex angle just think about the health effects!
