    Re: Ww3 ?

I think this is a fake crisis or false flag attack contrived to justify the activities of the NSA. They'll claim it was the interception of some phone call or email that alerted them to the danger.

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

I reckon it helps in a couple of ways:

1)It shows they are "taking threats seriously" as an unacknowledged and unapologetic response to the Benghazi debacle

2)It justifies NSA activity as previously stated

3)It boosts the fear factor back up to cruising altitude

If the threats were truly serious and genuine(like even just rudimentary NBC attack meant to create economic panic rather than body count) then wouldn't the US southern border have been more decisively secured years ago?

What's unfortunate, is that there surely ARE genuine threats to the US and it's people........but those threats now get questioned(and with some very good reason) due to a considerable loss of credibility with the audience.

I don't recall if I saw it here or elsewhere, but there was an interesting article about modern US embassies I read in the past year or so:

      http://watchingamerica.com/News/1756...ker-mentality/

Iran, Pakistan, Lebanon, Kenya, Tanzania, and most recently in Libya(and heaps of other incidents in between).

US Embassy architecture has had to change.......It seems like a completely different world from the US Embassy in India in 1959 and the US embassy in Iraq in 2009.

I passed by the US Embassy in Afghanistan while in Kabul quite a few times. But you can't really see it from the public roads. Blast walls, Hescos, vehicle check/choke points are all you really see.

But even in the developed world, serious consideration has to be given in the design phase:

The US embassy in the UK looks like it might not be too much of a bunker eyesore......but it is a shame it has come to this, from this:

      http://archimaps.tumblr.com/post/312...embassy-in-new

It's a shame really....when I think about US embassies around the world, and even taking a pragmatic approach to security with many things, it's a real shame US embassies couldn't be architectural focal points.

It would have been pretty cool to have embassies that looked as cool as FLW's Falling Water all over the world.
