Not what i hoped for........she has damaged the valve, it will have to be replaced. She will NOT be coming home before the operation........it will take place next week in a near by hospital. I am deeply worried but we have no option but to proceed.

At lest we are not dealering with trying to find the money to cover the cost........

I wish your mum and you all the best. Here's a bit of unasked-for advice:

Try to turn off your worry for awhile and get as much sleep as possible. Your mum will be getting lots of sleep while she's in hospital, but if you are her caretaker you will have much to do.

When my husband had his big surgeries, I was unable to sleep for days beforehand because I was so worried and anxious. Then afterwards, I had to deal with going to work and going to the hospital, getting up extra early and going to bed late. Then once he got home he needed a great deal of support...

I didn't begrudge him the care he needed, but I became quite sleep-deprived and exhausted. You will be a better caretaker for your mum if you are well-rested.

Rang my father..........then me DEMANDING to be brought home.........we both refused point blank!
Je-sus she was pissed.......i not had her blow like that since 1983 when i was caught with her mates daughter!
