I know the feeling Mega and it is tough. I expect gold to hit $1550 before this retrenchment is over. It will soon be a good opportunity to buy if you have the cash!

            http://money.cnn.com/2013/02/15/inve...html?iid=HP_LN

After climbing near $1,800 an ounce in October, gold prices have tumbled to about $1,600 an ounce.

And few lines later: Gold has gained 481% since 2002, when it traded for about $275 an ounce. It hit an all-time high above $1,900 an ounce in September 2011. Last year, gold has gained about 8%.

Maybe this the start of the KA in KAPOOM. Or, it is a mini ka.

I hate it, but you can find many threads on the forum where some very well-reasoned arguments have been made that a pull-back was inevitable. $1550 was thrown around a bit as a "floor" of some sorts.

Coincidentally, I just made my first bullion purchase in a long time last week. I swear, I ALWAYS buy right before a large drop. I do not know why it is. But, my "bad" luck would make a good indicator. Perhaps we can call it ASM: "Aaron's Sheeple Meter".

I have heard rumors at my company of a "hiring freeze". This is what happened coincident to the last major gold price drop, before the AFC crash. With all the talk of government cut backs, this could be it.

EJ mentioned in another thread that the bullhorn was sounding regarding bonds. Who knows, this could be "It".

eye DO hear that, ms shiny!
i made it all the way thru to 2011 thinking i would escape most of it, after living well below my means during the 'long boom' (2003-08, but for buying a house and then only spending as much as could payoff in 5years) - then me mother checked out and things havent been same since - and dunno if that was a cause or an effect....
