There was never a better period in music history imo, with the Brits leading the way. Why are the British so good at this stuff? When I look at all my favorite artists, 90% are British. Not planned , its just the way it worked out.

Not sure, often wondered why myself..........we have very little in your chats these days.........but its all "Rap" (one black man telling another black man to go out & kill black men (song written by white men).

I think it's the poverty in Britain after WW2.
Made the kids more rebellious, and some more ambitious.
Most Brit bands were inspired by the black Blues; the poverty class in America.
Elvis' music was energized by the black sound.
Dylan was inspired by the American poor from the Depression -- Woody Guthrie, etc.

The natural rebelliousness of youth is mirrored in their music.
The Brits had more to rebel about . . . .
