I agree with your description of corporate management ... no plan (well, lots of unreal plans) and constant short term jostling.

I am of the view however that the wealthiest, most powerful, families and their associates have a more long standing (multi-generation) and persistent power structure, and that it these families and associates who control TFPTB.
