What's most annoying about their chart is that their timing is completely off, at least 4-5 months off. The start should be in early 2007, not the official start of the recession.

My charts are from the 73-74 era, and from the recent era. My comments in Norwegian, (is referring to a bull formation).

Looking at the SPX for the current market as stated on his chart, the top of the SPX was on 10/9/2007. What is wrong with that? I've not checked all the charts in this graph, but I believe they all begin at the respective markets' highs.

Most cyclical stocks I am looking at started their downturn around march-june 2007.

So what does that have to do with his charts? If one doesn't like or agree with his work, one doesn't have to access it.

I don't think he sees the chart patterns. Both the 73-74, and the to 2003 bear, fit the current one like a glow, if one use the nasdaq 100, instead of the dow, it's just to find the right timing. Think of dotcom, peaked 2000, housing peaked 2005.

Like in 72, homebuilders peaked, just like 2005. In dec, 74, they bottomed, with the dow.

I can list and list, but the idea is that he is not looking at the full picture, and don't get the chart patterns to match.

For the record, march 09 was like march 03, and like des 74 (with a twist due to the unexpected geithner dip im march).

There's no assertion of any kind in that chart at all. It's merely a comparison of four bear markets. There are no inferences offered. So what's your beef?

If you, nero3, click on your attachment and then copy the URL that shows up, then using image tags (the icon showing a mountain to the left of the quotes icon) you can get your attachments to appear as the image you have imported. Pay attention and don't duplicate the http:// when copying the URL into the image box.

Why don't you begin a thread and put up some discussion of the points you think are pertinent? I think you probably have looked at this closely, and it likely would be interesting. Because there is no "technical analysis" topic heading, put it into the "rants and raves" as that is what TA generally gets from the management.
