  • Watchmen - awesome, awesome, awesome

one of my favourite comics, turned to a movie with huge love & care

with several of my favourite actors

Jackie Earle Haley - one of the guys from my favourite movie of all time, the wonderful, wonderful Breaking Away. I still hear the music from the race scenes when I ride sometimes. Wonderful movie. ciao, Papa

And I just realized an awesome irony - if anyone remembers the reason Moocher punched the clock in Breaking Away, one of Rohrschach's prison scenes in Watchmen will take on new significance.

Matt Frewer - LOVE that guy I must have watched Max Headroom while reading the original Watchmen comic

    Great movie

Spartacus, if you "love and care"; then it is worth watching.

I am personally waiting for the BluRay version.

For the uninitiated I propose the following trailer (HD is much better):

I'm only going to watch it on big screens.

IMAX now, and the repertory theatres (Bloor, Fox, Runnymede) in the future.

TV is too small (and the small added complication that I don't have a TV)

I started to read the comic book. NOT BAD.

The "liberals" comment got me a bit agitated but that is a term that is loosely used in the US to explain all problems.

If I remember correctly the use of liberal there is more about the history of comic books,

          and the Comics Code Authority,

and the (comics) revolution that had started years before Watchmen and gathered a lot of steam around the time Mller killed Elektra

and the "maturation" of some authors

than about US liberals - but its use is effective

Alan Moore was extremely liberal at the time

              I saw Watchmen tonight.

Three out of five stars for me. I've never read the graphic novel, though. I could imagine it might be more enjoyable if you had that background first.
