  • There's Chris Dodd

On TV again. He makes me so sick to my stomach. With his platitudes, and his "My good friend" openings to every sentence that comes out of his putrid mouth.

Anyone here from Conn? How has he been this phony been reelected so often?

i caught a few minutes of him speaking to Mr. B:

    [commenting on their previous meeting]:

"I commend you for you words then and your efforts since...for all the success the Fed has had carrying out its fiscal policy..."

where is this guy from?? there is no hope as long as guys like Dodd and guys like Bernanke are in the driver's seat.

Dodd is the quintessential, bottom-feeding, disingenuous, self-serving, glad-handing, career politician.

        Other than that he's ok.

Those guys sit around and talk about how bad things are. Then like an episode of Seinfeld one of them says "That's too bad. Hey who's hungry?"

it's almost as if these guys act as though this financial mess "happened" to us rather than acknowledging that their policies had a hand in creating all of it.

kinda like terrorism "happens" to us when in fact some (not all) policies have a direct impact of creating "terrorists" to begin with.

(that's a much larger debate that we don't need to get into here ... was simply trying to draw an analogy of these policy makers' aloofness when it comes to things "happening" to us versus creating environments for these things to happen in...)

Would you prefer that the head of the Federal reserve, the Treasury secretary, and the chairman of the senate banking committee not talk to each other?

A perpetual vow of silence from all three can't possibly be any worse than what's been served up so far...

Chris Dodd is a f**king a**hat of the First Order. He and his ButtPlug
buddy Bawney Fwank make me want to heave every time I see their
lying disingenouous faces on TV. As past of the gang who make the
current mess, they should be lined up with the CEO's of Fannie, Freddie,
Citi, BofA, AIG, Madoff, and all the like and simply and succintly 'taken out'
for their parts of the collapse in the US. In China they would do this.

Then again, in 'communist' China they have REAL Stimulus Pacakges, not
the sugar coated pork rink bulls**t that we have been served up here.

This all makes me want to puke. These people have destroyed our nation --
they have put the final nails in it;s coffin. And I am not singling only them
out by any means, there are planty more who should join them -- and the
'point man' should be Greenspan himself -- The Maestro of Malfeasance
                        himself.

                            Re: There's Chris Dodd

Let me 'correct myself' somewhat. I could care less about anyone's
race, sex orientation religion or the like. I am just so PO's that a guy as
corrupt as Fwank, (the Donald Duck of Congress) can stay in office after
his lover running a call service out of BF's pad, and after the whole Fannie
& Freddie think, I just go over the top. Frankly, if the whole lot fell off
a cliff tomorrow the nation would be better off.

And this applies to both parties, every one of them. This partisanship is
killing us. We devide and conquer... what?

There is gonna be a spending bill coming thru that is HUGE. And it has..
(according to Fox last night at mom's house -- i don't watch talking heads
                            usually) 9000+ earmarks. WTF?!?!?!

I read EJ's post on gold again last night (his latest). I am literally loading
up right now. These clowns have no clue. Business as usual.

I suppose it is not surprising that Chris Dodd looks like John Locke's father. Guard your kidneys well, my good friends! :p
