Here's the original story. It appears to be legitimate:

Guardsmen to conduct urban training at Arcadia in April

Please understand in NO WAY do i want ANY shots fired!

I do think it would be a GOOD idea for people to pop along & make it known that there is a "Line".....& O-Ban-a & co are about to cross it.

        Lots of TV!

Boy, I knew they threw most of the Constitution out the window. I guess Posse Comitatus went with it while we weren't looking.

            From the original story:

The primary phase will be done Saturday, April 4, when convoys will be deployed from Carroll to Arcadia. Pictures of the arms dealer will be shown in Arcadia, and soldiers will go door to door asking if residents have seen the suspect.

Soldiers will knock only at households that have agreed to participate in the drill, Kots noted.

"Once credible intelligence has been gathered," said Kots, "portions of the town will be road-blocked and more in-depth searches of homes and vehicles will be conducted in accordance with the residents' wishes.

Well...what could go wrong with that?

                  Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Of course my comment, "What could go wrong with that?" was made in a cynically despondent tone of contempt and irony, mingled with just the right amount of fear.

What could go wrong with full-battle-dress, combat-armed soldiers knocking "only at households that have agreed to participate in the drill?"

Everything of course, and then it would be on the national news as an "unfortunate tragedy."

Yeah, I got it. Ditto for my comment. I think Mega was a bit too wound up to get it, though.

Isn't this going on in nearly every state for years?

TOLEDO, OH -- Mayor Carty Finkbeiner on Friday ordered some 200 members of Company A, 1st Battalion, 24th Marines from Grand Rapids, Michigan, out of Toledo just before the unit was supposed to start a weekend of urban warfare training downtown.

The mayor’s spokesperson, Brian Schwartz said, “The mayor asked them to leave because they frighten people. He did not want them practicing and drilling in a highly visible area."

I wonder if they are getting the people or the soldiers ready for the real thing?

If the cliche of buy guns, ammo and gold ever made sense it is now...

I am stunned at this news, and if it is true then I hope the media is all over it... This is truly reprehensible...
