Anyone else into weightlifting? I am getting back into after a long break. I absolutely adore it, though.

judo during the winter and cycling in the summer.

I really should learn some striking[*], but I always end up in too much pain from the judo to do anything between classes . You should see the other guys though

        Some weightlifting, not a lot.

Too funny GJ, I associated you with your avatar and naturally assumed you were a spineless wimp. Lesson learned.

Thanks for the links, will check them out.

With respect to striking, may I humbly suggest Krav Maga if you can find a training facility in your area. Relatively easy to learn, natural reaction movements, high intensity, real world scenarios for self defense. I've been doing it for the last couple of years and it is a huge confidence builder and an incredible workout.

Good stuff , "Captain3d" - do you have any stereoscopic pairs for visitors to view?

Weightlifting, Stereoscopy and Money all in one forum. This place is great ;-)

Yes my name comes from my love of stereoscopic photography. I now work at Dreamworks Animation supervising the 3D movie making. Fun stuff for me.

You might want to look at the 3dtv group on yahoo. Plenty of Lanc video guys there...

It's one of the things I considered. I was serious about the pain, though. "in the moment" I have huge pain tolerance, so I don't tap out of joint locks as quickly as I should. I pay for it later.

I never visit my parents until I get someone to check out all my visible bodyparts for bruising. The couple of times I visited after a class with really bad choke marks on my neck ... you should have seen & heard my mother, oy vey.

You could check out the local MMA gym if there is one. Best workout of your life and it is very functional knowledge. Lots of strikes and everything else too. Will translate well if TSreallyHTF.
