hmmm... - those thoughts didn't cross my mind. If I must explain it for you, what I meant was that one of the basic Christian tenants (some people these days say"what would Jesus do") is to love your neighbor as thyself. Clearly destroying the global economy does not meet this standard. If you need further explanation I will be happy to elaborate.

Why it was done? Are you positing that there was a plan behind it all, that this was something other than greed and folly run amuck? We've had plenty of panics and depressions before. If anything, it was hubris in the belief that we were smart enough to prevent such a thing from happening again.

Don't be naive. From history you should know that behind almost every revolution the well organized people was. Sometimes even the people in power was organizing revolutions to change system. They created opposition to have secound side to negotiate etc..
