And WHO has forced this on them?

          Who, the WEST of course!

Ever time a 3rd World people try to help themselves those "Nice" people from the IMF drop round.

One thing delights, China coming around, paying off the IMF loans and giving REAL Help. Sure they want the Copper/Iron.....What ever. They do however do a lot in return..............& How the West hates it!

Re: Discontented In Life - Compared To What?

Nothing personal, the following is an opinion based solely on my life experience and fully biased on it.

When I first went abroad, I went to Israel for training, and took the scale at Canada... The first impression of being abroad was like the people there was behaving like they were living in Disneyland...

In Israel I saw people very worried about security, but still going around without many issues. Well, also is my opinion that Israel is a police state.

When I had the chance of stepping out of airports in Canada (for a training in Ottawa) I got convinced of the "Disneyland" style of life of many, but not all, at least not for the street wanderers or several on board of buses.

It's good to have a reality check, to see first hand what do people really need, why they have fallen into misery, and how can they be lifted to basic living standards. Its a lot of work to rebuild the social network around them, but upon seeing and understanding the power relationships surrounding many of them, one can see that it is not only a matter of giving them more food. Is about means of subsistance and the limitances they have on acquiring them.

There are a lot of created interests, not just globally, but also locally, that carry many people to extreme situations. We still have a lot to go in matter of group ethics...
