D-Mack - With all respect to GlobalResearch.Ca for some bits and pieces of decent coverage, most of it does not pass my smell test for "fully unbiased", and I derive that from the very broad hints one can easily pick up from the overall selection of articles. The editorial hand here is "heavy". If you believe the "editorial oversight" producing this range of articles does not demonstrate a "singular bias in one direction" you and I do not employ the same smell test regarding "complete coverage of all human rights abuses without any particular political agenda". I have yet to see the reading you do which tilts in the other direction? I prefer the reporting that "doesn't tilt in ANY direction, but this stuff has a marked "tilt" implicit within what it chooses to cover as well as the conclusions it instructs it's readers to draw.

When you can read a journalist "instructing" you to a set of conclusions, any reader that is not on their guard is a patsy.

I find particularly sanctimonious all the strident coverage about "atrocious human rights abuse due to atrocious living conditions" in GAZA. Fertile ground indeed for the "narrow gauge" mentality of the journalistic profession enamored of 24/7 slavish espousal of "narrow gauge" liberal causes. I have nothing against liberal causes, if only they would not be so comically deferential to never speaking up about human rights abuses by the same groups whom they depict as hapless victims of the US and the Israelis! Look at the list below and skim through a selection of the "editorials" about Israeli repression of the Gazans, and the cacophony of wailing ascribing all blame to israel and none to the leaders of HAMAS is deeply depressing to the cause of objective analysis.

Liberal leaning reportage is absolutely fine in my book - indeed, when it can combine itself with scrupulously careful reporting of all the instances that are NOT aligned with it's political axe to grind it becomes excellent journalism. But the list below from this Canadian "Watchdog" group flunks miserably at that (modest) aim. How can this Canadian watchdog group win the full trust of the complete spectrum of readers, unless it can be shown to be scrupulously fair by including ALL the other non-US instances of human rights abuse also? When 95% of their reportage of human rights abuses is entranced with dealing exclusively with their two favorite whipping dogs, the Americans and Israelis, as is evidenced in a whole slew of editorials such as below, that is (to me) repugnant journalism due to it's slovenly treatment of the journalistic edict which is TO INFORM READERS IMPARTIALLY.

I don't know how to communicate this further. They do a sort of" good job in some stuff they cover, but they do a crappy job overall because they allow their urgent agenda to color the scrupulousness of what they choose to cover, vs. not cover at all. Don't tell me you can't spot it.

Look how many of these links cover GAZA human rights abuses, wherein their contributing journalists lead their readers by the nose, straght to concluding that virtually none of the Gazans predicament is due to the thugs running HAMAS. You think perhaps these HAMAS guys are misunderstood civic leaders instead? This territory was handed over to the Palestinians with high hopes that they would embark on the first steps in nation building there. It wasn't going to be perfect, but there were hopes.

Within two months it had devolved into a vicious power struggle and horrific slaughter between HAMAS and FATAH, with some of the most horrific human rights abuses of torture and summary execution between them of captured militiamen from the other side - which then devolved into brutal repression of the entire Palestinian population under a military clacque which dumped any vestige of democratic process with total lack of even the smallest formality to squelch dissent after FATAH fled. This led further, directly into massive bombardment of near border Israeli settlements. The HAMAS have flung 4000 rockets into Israel practically since the day they got there - all IRANIAN MADE rockets. They have studiousy ibnored the Saudi's best efforts to intervene and get them at least talking to the Israelis on constructing lasting truce.

Meanwhile, it seems all the articles on your cited "reputable news source" are studiously ignoring that the HAMAS leadership have wrested control in a bloody internal war with FATAH, and that it is highly irraitonal to claim the Israelis are "blockading them" or "denying them essential services" when HAMAS are industriously lobbing 4000 Iranian made rockets into Israel at the rate of 30+ daily. Anyone scratching their heads and wondering why the Israelis are denying Gaza "essential services and humanitarian assistance" might consent to allow these facts to enter into their reportage. Sorry, such news sources give me a bad headache - this type of "ideologically motivated journalistic dysfunction" is rampant.

And BTW it is the number one disease affecting the US body politic in this election - no-one knows how to be genuinely impartial any more. The GAZA people are crying out for leaders who will put the guns aside and tell them the truth - that as soon as they stop lobbing missiles into Israel and let a few years of PEACE elapse, they will get open borders with both Israel AND Egypt. The Gaza leadership are perpetrating a fraud upon them.

[ Comment - Rachel Corrie was not "ruthlessly run down intentionally by an Israeli bulldozer". How much muckraking dishonest hay has been made out of that. She walked straight into a bulldozer deployment area which she was warned to stay out of as being highly dangerous - to better stage a dramatic protest, and an eyewitness described circumstances entirely consonant with an accident in a formal deposition at the scene in a coroners report. Liberal leaning reportage is absolutely fine in my book - indeed, when it can combine itself with scrupulously careful reporting of all the instances that are NOT aligned with it's political axe to grind it becomes excellent journalism. But the list below from this Canadian "Watchdog" group flunks miserably at that (modest) aim. How can this Canadian watchdog group win the full trust of the complete spectrum of readers, unless it can be shown to be scrupulously fair by including ALL the other non-US instances of human rights abuse also? When 95% of their reportage of human rights abuses is entranced with dealing exclusively with their two favorite whipping dogs, the Americans and Israelis, as is evidenced in a whole slew of editorials such as below, that is (to me) repugnant journalism due to it's slovenly treatment of the journalistic edict which is TO INFORM READERS IMPARTIALLY.

I don't know how to communicate this further. They do a sort of" good job in some stuff they cover, but they do a crappy job overall because they allow their urgent agenda to color the scrupulousness of what they choose to cover, vs. not cover at all. Don't tell me you can't spot it.

I don't know what to say, of course they have an agenda or bias ( disagreement with the official 911 narrative for example)

The best thing would be for everybody to go there and ask people directly like this guy does Peter Scholl Latour, but it's impossible for most of us. Therefore I think the best way is to read everything and form your own opinion.

Look how many of these links cover GAZA human rights abuses, wherein their contributing journalists lead their readers by the nose, straght to concluding that virtually none of the Gazans predicament is due to the thugs running HAMAS. You think perhaps these HAMAS guys are misunderstood civic leaders instead? This territory was handed over to the Palestinians with high hopes that they would embark on the first steps in nation building there. It wasn't going to be perfect, but there were hopes.

Within two months it had devolved into a vicious power struggle and horrific slaughter between HAMAS and FATAH, with some of the most horrific human rights abuses of torture and summary execution between them of captured militiamen from the other side - which then devolved into brutal repression of the entire Palestinian population under a military clacque which dumped any vestige of democratic process with total lack of even the smallest formality to squelch dissent after FATAH fled. This led further, directly into massive bombardment of near border Israeli settlements. The HAMAS have flung 4000 rockets into Israel practically since the day they got there - all IRANIAN MADE rockets. They have studiousy ibnored the Saudi's best efforts to intervene and get them at least talking to the Israelis on constructing lasting truce.

Meanwhile, it seems all the articles on your cited "reputable news source" are studiously ignoring that the HAMAS leadership have wrested control in a bloody internal war with FATAH, and that it is highly irraitonal to claim the Israelis are "blockading them" or "denying them essential services" when HAMAS are industriously lobbing 4000 Iranian made rockets into Israel at the rate of 30+ daily. Anyone scratching their heads and wondering why the Israelis are denying Gaza "essential services and humanitarian assistance" might consent to allow these facts to enter into their reportage. Sorry, such news sources give me a bad headache - this type of "ideologically motivated journalistic dysfunction" is rampant.

And BTW it is the number one disease affecting the US body politic in this election - no-one knows how to be genuinely impartial any more. The GAZA people are crying out for leaders who will put the guns aside and tell them the truth - that as soon as they stop lobbing missiles into Israel and let a few years of PEACE elapse, they will get open borders with both Israel AND Egypt. The Gaza leadership are perpetrating a fraud upon them.

I found an old article on HAMAS, and they again blame Israel.
I don't know enough about history of Israel and I wasn't really interested in this topic.

Let us not forget that it was Israel, which in fact created Hamas. According to Zeev Sternell, historian at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, "Israel thought that it was a smart ploy to push the Islamists against the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO)".
