Re: f*ck fox news!
Sorry! You will have to excuse me but......that sort of "intelligent" response surely reflects more on the problem of the intellectual depth of the protestors than whatever is the problem with Fox News (and I know there is plenty).
I am really tired of this type of obscenity riddled stuff being held up as some sort of serious commentary of "original" thinkers.
Maybe i'm getting just too bloody old!!!!

Just to be clear Metal...I was commenting on these people's opinions of themselves rather than your posting. I wouldn't want to cross swords with you on an intellectual level!
I guess it is all part of some sort of "dumbing" down process across society and your comment re the powerful using such obscene expletives is true. It is much harder to use one's brain to consrtuct meaningful language around complex issues than to just utter the obscene imperative. Enough said!(on my part anyway!)

Re: f*ck fox news!
Let's be fair here - it's not exactly reasonable to expect a group of protestors to chant some treatise about what is wrong with our government or the mass media. Groups like that have always chanted slogans. One can definitely argue that the obscenity is unnecessary, but it's also quite effective in getting a point across (in this case a distaste for Fox News They're not there protesting Fox anyhow, so without hearing what it is they have to say about the issues they are protesting about, I'd hesitate to pass judgement on their "intellectual depth."
I certainly don't blame any of these people for not wanting to talk to the newsperson. News outlets today don't report "raw news"..they filter it and only show that which they think supports whatever story/message they're trying to send. Personally, I think it was pretty disingenuous of the guy to ask "don't you support freedom of speech?" It's a total non-sequitur in that context.

Re: f*ck fox news!
You will get no argument from me about the lack oif intellectual depth of the media either!!!
I use obscenity myself all too often. However i do recognise it is because i am both too lazy and too damned ignorant at the time to come up with anything cogent.
I suppose I have been hearing the same thing for nigh on 50 years and it now just says "ignorance" to me rather than passion, new thinking, or wisdom.
Anyway "Down with categorical imperatives!"

Re: f*ck fox news!
Um, exactly what kind of balance can you find? Here's an exercise: find me a Fox News clip that blindly supports a Democrat, AGAINST the conventional wisdom. Now find a Republican that Fox News supports in a clip who disagrees with the White House talking points.
Now explain to me what balanced means."The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much it is whether we provide enough for those who have little." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
