I appreciate the opportunity to widen my horizons. But I only need to see one of these ads, not all the time. Other ITulipers may relish the opportunity to see American hunks, and I don't mind much. But is this the type of advertising you want to see on ITulip?

We've noticed that some of the ads that Google AdSense is serving up on iTulip recently have been less closely related to keywords in content than in the past. Not sure if Google is trying something new but it is making for some peculiarly non Finance and Economics related ads.

We block a fair number of ads as we explain in our iTulip Ad Policy. We appreciate member reporting non-compliant ads using Report Non-Compliant Ad so we can block them.

Does this mean that the above ad and other ads are an endorsement by itulip?

It means that we have no real-time control of the ads that AdSense serves up. If they are reported or we notice them we can block them using the "Competitive ad filter" feature, and even then there is a substantial delay

I think the jock ad came from references to EJs "Jocks and Geeks"

I just think that the note below the ads should be expanded beyond mere political endorsement to say "Itulip does not necessarily endorse the above ads being served by google adsense."

Meanwhile, put this pumped up mannikin on a soccer field with any UEFA cup centerfielder. He'd have a heart attack in 15 minutes just trying to keep up. Too much of the body-bulking food supplements and pumping iron narcissim likely makes pin-up Jack a slow boy.

Bummer that metalman beat me to the taskoid - kudos to the bright idea. I'm still tempted to start one and go way off into a tinfoil hat chart based rant... I wonder if I'd get pharmo-co drug ads, or a 12 step chart withdrawal program? ;)

Thank goodness for mental circuit breakers too, I think I might have lost a few more marbles if I'd really stopped to think about a gay dating site for market bears. ;)
