Re: Why Medicare is going broke -- a personal observation.
My wife went to one of those doc in a trailer health screens. They did a very nice exam, including vitals, blood work, health interview, ultra sound, ekg, etc. Total cost $200 cash. Insurance only covered 30% of the bill. Out of network etc. My in network physical at an in network doctor which was not as good as this one was billed at $500. My cost out of pocket 0. Prime example of why the system is broken.
