Have you watched the "unthinkable"? The Middle East is about to go nuclear in a couple years' time, and what happened in Libya proves that the fanatics are still round.
The fanatics have had decades to get a nuclear weapon. It hasn't happened yet. Which is not to say it cannot happen, but I think you worry a little too much.

There's no chance yet for fanatics to get hold of nukes because no terrorist state is currently capable of producing nukes and certainly not the states that the fanatics usually come from.

Once you lose control of proliferation, every country in the Middle East will want to have some nukes of their own, even Assad Syria will have them, if he does survive. The rest will be history.

Pakistan? Former USSR states? North Korea?

It does seem that non-proliferation absolutists have an incredibly bad record when it comes to the predictions underlying their justifications for intervention.

Are these terrorists states? Where do the fanatics come from?

Sure it won't happen tomorrow, next year, or even the year after. But can anyone guarantee next 20 years?

There's nothing that can guarantee your next breath, much less the next 20 years.

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

People die everyday from illness and car accidents.

We all die one day, but why does the holocaust still invoke painful memories among the survivals and their descendants? The ones that died may have actually suffered less than the ones that survived.

Also, don't forget the retailiation, only 2000 people died in the twin towers attack, but probably 300,000 have died in the ensuing "vengeance wars". A terrorist nuclear attack has the potential to start off a nuclear WWIII.

Yes, it would be unlikely that a nuclear terrorist attack would be handled with much restraint.

Really - can you at least try to look objectively at what is really going on, vs. what the MSM is pushing you to panic on?

MSM media is telling us that Obama is doing a good job. ;)

The actual fact is that the world is now a much more dangerous place than it had been 11 years ago.

Really? So we should expect another 9/11 any day now?

                          Another passenger airline hijacking?

Perhaps an invasion of the US or Singapore?

I'm not going to speculate what will happen because I don't know. Who predicted 9/11, of course other than Tom Clancy.

You aren't going to speculate, yet simultaneously you're making statements like "I don't want to live in New York after 2020"?

                              This seems a contradiction.

As for Tom Clancy - he didn't predict 9/11. He did first publish the concept of using a jet liner as a weapon.

However, the instigator of the attack in Tom Clancy's story wasn't an Arab terrorist. The target wasn't the World Trade Center, nor was it even in New York. etc etc.

But I know it's going to happen because the problem is not solved, the fanatics are still around. In fact, the situation has worsened as we have seen from the Libyan embassy tragedy and what happens in Syria.
