  • Feature Requests

I have noticed that iTulip has made several changes in 2011 to make the forum move to 21st century technology. The forums have grown in size and content and it is difficult to keep track of information or find information that I once remembered seeing and would like to revisit. Simple features can save our collective time and make navigation very effective.

I would recommend having a living feature wishlist forum where users can request features.

To kickstart let me request a very important feature that crowdsources evaluation of a post :

Feature request 1 : "Rate a Post" button. I believe that this would be more utilitarian than emoticons. The Catch22 is in order to evaluate if most people in the forum would like this feature, we would need this feature in the first place.

You mean per-post as per Slahdot rather than per-thread as we have
It's Economics vs Thermodynamics. Thermodynamics wins.

      Re: Feature Requests

Since threads already have the ratings and some threads goes into hundreds of posts we need to have ratings for posts as well. Moreover a boring thread may contain a gold nugget that shouldn't be missed. In such cases it is unlikely people are going to rate the thread well, but would like to have the option to rate this individual post.
