He isn't the one who has been calling the top of the gold "bubble" every time there is a 5-10% pullback. You've been doing that for 3 years now.

Yes, my hound experiences the world in the same way, but I don't pay much attention to his economic analysis. So you want to sell PMs and buy equities? I'll mark it on my calender and we can see how well that trade works out for you.

Well so far we have seen:
      • Delusions
      • Anxiety
      • Anger
      • Emotional distance
      • Argumentativeness
      • Self-important or condescending manner

It would be interesting if these were accompanied by auditory hallucinations, or some other perceptual disturbance. At least today we have pills for that.

Really. Sounds delusional. How long did I post here, for around 6 months in 2009. And a little more than a month now.

And what is that exactly? Perhaps I'm suffering from a lack of rigorous analysis and factual data. Maybe you can help me. Why don't you subscribe to shadowstats and read the articles and sort through the data. You may not agree with his conclusions but at least he has a coherent thesis and methodology. That is better than lusting after "animal spirits".

                Yes, I know.

I'm in the process of going back and reading all of your previous posts in order to gauge your credibility. In the process of reading one of your first posts this gorgeous annotated chart stood out to me:
                http://www.itulip.com/forums/showthr...5921#post85921

You said, "I fear gold is going to blow up badly" Then you call for a bubble in everything. So which is it? Most of your posts are like that. You have no concrete information or position - just leading questions and innuendo. So, are you using all those millions in your portfolio to short PMs?

Perhaps a lack of sensitivity in your post, before trying to put the insane label on other board members.

I don't trust his analytic ability only his collection of data. His conclusions are to absolute, and lacking in doubt, like if there is no doubt that the dollar will become a very hot potato, fueling hyperinflation in the US (at some point when foreign bond holders loose patience, with the FED monetizing the whole market, thus causing a lack of trust in the dollar and a high money multiplier.) He seems to ignore other dynamics, like fundamentals in China and in foreign countries like my own with bubble currencies.

Hey great idea. A poetry contest. Lets make it Haiku. I'll start:

                    Nero many words

Gold is bubble he know why

                    Says so must be true

I think you missed the chart. What I was insinuating then was that you had a bubble in everything between 2003-2007, while the bubble in gold started in 2005 and was still ongoing with Chinas revaluation of the RMB ( note that my way of meaning blow up badly meant possibly go very high, not as blow up as in going down, I was comparing gold with the nasdaq in 1998). What I can tell about the Chart is that the liquidity really have not returned to the market. I'm not making money by forecasting the future. I don't know why that's so important as that's not how guys like Warren Buffett makes money. Money is made in my opinion through looking at the here and now, through things like value investing, buying cheap when others are fearful, that sort of stuff. The flow of money, liquidity, what's in a bubble and what's not is quite important in understanding what's going on, where money is flowing and why. I think many economists, simply don't have a idea on the direction of flow of funds, this sort of everyday market experience, and feel for if something is a bubble or not (it's an art not a science) (some economists like Robert Shiller have made progress) .That's just one of the reasons I'm really skeptical on Williams.

may i suggest that radon, thriftyandboringinohio, metalman and others avail themselves of the "ignore" feature available in this forum. i don't check threads when i see that nero3 is the author of the most recent post, but i do check you guys. and then i see you're responding to and mocking nero3. what a waste.

i find it very soothing to have nero3 on "ignore." unfortunately, i still see that he did post, but i'm not provoked into responding to bold assertions offered without data or analysis. how much nicer if i didn't see his posts quoted in replies authored by you guys. don't feed the troll.

You may do that and succumb to what you want to read. Part of the problem with this forum is that it's not very contrarian anymore, in fact it seems to mirror what i see elsewhere. Forums that did not have it before, now have sub forums on gold. Post about gold everywhere. See on youtube. Now you have people looking like retired real estate agents talking about gold being money for thousands of years. Maybe there even is home parties. gold machines. Buy gold parties. get ripped off from Cash4gold.com (the gold boom have fraud) All those gold is money stories, it's so much posted about gold from people who don't know what they are talking about that it's making me concerned.

                              Please don't feed the troll.

IMHO, the quality and civility of this board is declining as thread after thread devolves into long, tiresome, non-productive arguments with a troll. A good definition of insanity is expecting different results from the same behavior.

While I don't know enough to contribute much to the iTulip community, I truly come here to learn from some of the best minds on the web. It distresses me when brilliant people who have so much to offer waste their time debating with a fool.

Using logic, a wise man will argue with you to learn. A troll argues with you only to suck your energy.

Please don't feed the troll, don't cast pearls before swine, etc... Your time is worth so much more than that!

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

I have no doubt that nero3 doesn't believe in what he posts himself. Probably he is here to try to degrade iTulip's forum quality.

I have tried to ignore him using the forum software, but I don't know how to do it. Could someone please tell me which option I should select in order not to see further nero3's messages?
