    Re: Human Eye on Bangkok

    Don,

Video 1 purported to be something new - but I saw the exact same type of thing in Tokyo 10+ years ago, and it also has been ongoing as raves in the US for at least as long. The ad at the end also points more towards marketing than a real "new" thing though perhaps that is a Vimeo artefact.

Video 2 is an Otaku (i.e. Japanese/Asian manga fanatic) party - and another ad for vodka.

Video 3 is apparently about some fancy shopping center burned and looted. The only comment is "F***ing Terrorists" - yet for someone who understands that its contents (Dior) were accessible to only 0.5% of the Thai population, it isn't so surprising that what happened, happened.

The Human Eye Corporation's own web site states that it is a marketing company:

The Human Eye Corporation have written ads for superbrands like Heineken, Nokia and Sony, directed music promos for the likes of Placebo and Katsue and have shown multimedia art in such arenas as the Sydney Biennale and the 798 Art Festival in Beijing. In the spring they are due to have their design work featured in Wallpaper*.
Vimeo also appears to have very poor streaming - really slow loading all 3 videos.

When you look at the alexa rankings, its no wonder they are going down for this site, with worthless posts like this.

We're now experiencing the complete commodification of society, something not possible until the ending of the Cold War.
