    I've seen this same comment elsewhere and it fits with the Chimerica concept IMO.

      Is China effectively setting monetary policy for the US? That would explain this.
      It's Economics vs Thermodynamics. Thermodynamics wins.

        just look at the amount of commodities china buys. china prints more money than any country in the world.
