    Gold sell off precedes market sell offs?

    Anyone notices this trend, gold sell off always precedes market sell off by a few weeks or one or two months? This happened in 2008 and happened again.

    I've noticed this too, I think it is a good indicator of market liquidity. People liquidate gold for cash before stocks, generally.
    It's Economics vs Thermodynamics. Thermodynamics wins.

      "always" and "happened [once] again" are not synonyms ;)
