I used to be up on all the serious literature.

Could quote 10 year old books & research papers on the issue - from the LeDain commission to Consumers Uniion's "Licit and Illicit drugs" to how Peter McWiliams died, to some of the finer details of Harry Anslinger's (may he rot in peace, or rest in h*ll, or both) life

but this is news to me. I'll have to look into this for more details.

Maybe visit for some "personal, first hand research not tainted by hearsay evidence".

Once Portugal decriminalized, a huge amount of money that had gone into putting its citizens in cages was freed up.

This is the kicker and why in the US it will not happen.
