          Wow...wandered into this thread on a whim and I've just been listening to most of the postings here. Going to have to put a few of my own up.

          I used to be a serious audiophile and then I got massively ticked off at an industry who was stuck on 30-year old technology and screwed everything up while trying to keep the old prices -- I can't remember the last time I bought a CD. That's the one thing I regret about MP3s, etc -- you lose a lot of resolution on the recording.

          Oh well, each year you see more high-resolution releases, it *is* getting better. Maybe I'll get back into it again.
