I don't like having the forums linked off the front page, but I'm not going to hold my tongue about an issue that i feel strongly about. It seems pretty clear to me that this relatively minor seasonal flu is being given the big top treatment for some non-obvious purpose, and this is a good place to talk about it. Fitts is expressing an idea i have heard at least a dozen times around the water cooler. People are thinking it. It seems more likely to me that this is just a way to clamp down on travel and capital flight. I resent being compared to Lyndon LaDouche et al.

In my opinion, WMDs in Iraq and possible profiteering off Swine Flu don't fall into the "moonbat" category. Vaccines to reduced world population, different story.

I think Bush was told there were WMDs because he let it be known that is what he wanted to hear. In other words, he needed an excuse. I tend to think he didn't bother digging too deeply to find the truth because that is not what he wanted to hear. Rationalization. People do it all the time. Only thousands don't usually die from it.

I find the whole Swine Flu thing a bit odd how its been treated in the media and by the CDC. While I realize the threat is real, I also think maybe just maybe someone is looking for added funding(CDC) and in this country someone will always find a way to make a buck off a crisis.( Rahm Emmanel's famous quote comes to mind.) So I'm sure drug companies are not just sitting around watching the phone on this. They have their lobbyists whispering in ears. That doesn't make it a conspiracy, just typical corporate behavior. It's supposed to be up to our elected representatives to resist any shenanigans and do only what is in our best interest. Yeah right.

It's difficult to kill so many people, I know some dream of it, but it could just remain a pipe dream, like Bernanke's on preventing Great Depression II by doing what he is doing.

It's not on the same level as those "911 truth" theories, or anything that includes the phrase "mass depopulation." We may be surrounded by lies and manipulation, but I think we have to distinguish between the categories.

I lost your train of thought here as to which category you considered worthy of further consideration and which category ridiculous.

However I'm guessing from your phrasing here you have "911 truth" conspiracy theories on the ridiculous side.

If so, while it is probably fruitless to elaborate here, I should state that I disagree. While I am quite unclear as to who knew, when they knew and who decreed what, I am quite confident that those three WTC buildings were taken down by a pre-placed controlled demolition and that the official story differs drastically from the truth.

Fortunately, this thread was moved to "Rant and Rave." I (usually, I guess) avoid even discussing this topic elsewhere on iTulip. But since it's here, I do feel some moral obligation to at least notice it in passing.

I think this is primarily just another indication that the establishment is still losing credibility with the rank & file. Fitts may not have gone off the deep end yet, but she does seem to be teetering on the edge. Why would TBTB mess around with an unselective method of population control if they wanted to selectively eliminate undesirables?

I got to agree with globaleconomicollaps - this deserves some more scrutiny despite how crazy it sounds. Just because these might be paranoid ravings, doesn't mean they aren't out to get us. The government has conveniently been "negligent" bordering on complicit in leadups to many other tragedies, see Gulf of Tonkin, Lusitania sinking, Pearl Harbor, Iraq WMDs etc. I yield to the superior intelligences here on iTulip to explain to me the following news stories - and why we are not justified in being at least concerned about the flu hysteria from the WHO and the proposals for forced vaccinations:
