Wow, I didn't think this thread would still go on, thanks folks! I had another interview this week and am in the wait-and-see stage right now. The notion of a 30min+ commute will be different, although I've rode the caltrain over the years and kinda like it. My current commute in austin for the past six months has been a 10 minute drive, barely touching the highway. And we've had "the worst traffic for a medium-sized city" for years.
In any case, I want to spend a week next month driving out to california for fun, maybe it'll make me change my mind about moving there. Is it true big sur nearly closed because a bridge couldn't get built? (just found an update this week about it: http://www.kionrightnow.com/Global/s...nav=menu1591_2 )
