- central banks abandoned by crooks and now run by honest professionals or... better... abolished altogether?
- politicians no longer interested in getting re-elected, will promote fiscal policies that will run high unemployment even higher?
- positive real interest rates?
- plenty of room for inflation to fall in the future?
- infinite oil supply?
- dollar 'good as gold'?
- peace breaking out all over the world?

if you replied 'yes' to all 8 of the above, sell your gold. else, go back to sleep.

This "announcement" seems to resurface about once a month these days. The IMF has wanted to sell their gold for years. In order to do so, they need approval from Congress. Congress has been approach many times about this, and has said no each time.

If / when Congress says yes, that will be real news. Until then, it's hard to view these stories as anything more than increasingly ineffective attempts at suppressing the price of gold.
