I guess another week of well managed panic in the media is about to hit us if we see this pattern maintained tomorrow. After a relatively peaceful weekend, I guess it's time to run in circles like beheaded chicken again.

If you thought the american news is panicky, you should take a look at the asian news when there is technically still no outbreak yet and everyone is striving to be the last to have the outbreak.

NEW YORK - The sons of a critically ill New York City school official diagnosed with swine flu say their father has been on a breathing tube and is barely able to talk to his family.
Meanwhile, maintenance workers are scrubbing down three public schools in New York City that were closed in a flare-up of the virus that sent shock waves through the world last month. Hundreds of kids were sent home with flu symptoms.

It was strong and felt here in Mexico City, but remember that in the triangle between Puerto Escondido, Zihuatanejo and Mexico City we have a 6.0 every year and a half, a 6.5 to 7.0 every 3 years and a half and the big one of 8.1 in Sept. 19th 1985 represented damages to around 5% of the entire city.
Didn't I tell you? Earthquakes are frequent in this part of the world. This is the Mesoamerican Trench, enhanced by a lake bed soil that acquires the consistence of jelly on earthquakes above 5.0

        Not much to worry about...
