So I know we're all bearish, but let's think for a moment - what if there are great strides in robotics and solar energy.
I hear they just created the Maxwell Demon, a nano machine that can manipulate other molecules from solar power, a precursor to the 'replicator'.
As the price of everything gets cheaper from inexpensive energy and robots taking over manufacturing (already happening at Toyota, and soon GM), the billion sized labour force in China will be nothing compared to what's coming down the pipe.
Anyhow, with cheaper energy and cheaper manufacturing, what prices will go up? Assets will. Commodities, sure, but advanced technologies in those spaces will quickly deal with that problem.
Most importantly, Land, something neither robots, nanotechnology or anything else can duplicate will become infinitely much more valuable.
