I say we close up the borders and alienate the world further. Who cares if they hate us, they'll buy our exports!

Seriously. Globalisation is the only answer to world peace and increasing standard of living. Are we giving up treasure to foreigners?

Obviously. Is this all supposed to magically happen without some sacrifice?

If the US wants to reply to the chinese manufacturing threat, anti-globalisation is not the answer. The answer is technological advances in manufacturing, such as robotics. We may not have the people, but we definitely have the ingenuity.

Do you think there's hope for conngress getting rid of some of these outdated and antiquated child labor laws? We'll need workers here to build your dream and the adults seem to be very busy manufacturing burgers and giving each other hair-cuts. Who possibly could be better at building robots than children? They've got small hands in order to attach the wires and other parts into small places.

Not to worry, now that those conngress critters have heaven forbide raised the minimum wage I'm reading a lot of our larger burger manufaturers are thinking of adding robotics to their production of burgers in order to stream line costs. Maybe some of these highly skilled and motivated ex-burger assembly employees could be used to help with your view of globalization unless of course they decide to become real estate agents or stock brokers.

A start would be for many americans to quit being delusional hypocrites. Mabye make trips abroad mandatory, :eek: oppps 80% of US citizens dont have passports. Its ok we will just stick our heads in the sand and throw money at our problems; that will fix them.

Globalisation, smobalisation who cares .. In the end it all boils down to class warfare

The rich getting rich isn't a problem. It's how the rich spend their money that is the problem (they're generally pretty good investors).

Too many rich people get corrupted and waste their money on useless yachts, big mansions, etc, all sorts of trappings of excess wealth that do nothing for nobody. In fact, all they do is provide a distraction which keeps the rich from focusing on their real job - creating more wealth.

Warren Buffet, I think, is probably the greatest man in modern history.
