I am must confess that I not understanding the graphicals presented in effort to refute the iTulip positions. I am very willing to hear alternatives, but I am not of sufficient experiences to understand these datas without explanation.

Very good discussion, thank you very much.

ok, now i get your act. you never answer a direct question.

that itulip chart you deride, along with the debt deflation bear market chart you deride, saved us all a ton of money.

did you or did you not get out of the stock market in dec 2007?

      yes or no?

I don't want to get into a pissing contest with you, so I refrain from answering the question, and any questions you would have in how I run my investments.

The itulip chart is faulty, in my opinion that is, and we are debating if the chart should go to a level it already below. So the discussion about the 1 2 and 3 scenario is meaningless and fruitless, as it have already played out a different scenario.

but the chart indicated a top accurately. you, for academic reasons, contest it. maybe you ought to go back to the drawing board and ask why the chart that used the gov't phony cpi numbers works?

full of criticism but unwilling to answer a simple, direct question.

actually, you have... your answer tells me that you rode the stock market down and are now trying to 'make it back', and i'm betting same deal in the real estate market.

no wonder you are so motivated to look for trades. good luck. these markets are made to make money off folks who are desperate to make their money back. we call them re-loaders.

been here for years. you guys come and go. i'm getting impatient in my old age. next bull comes in here i'll start off with a simple test to see if it's worth my time to engage...

did you meet or beat itulip's record? no?

            next.

now... a guy coming in here who did meet or beat itulip's 10+ yr record and is a bull at this point... damn! i'd like to meet that guy and hear his line.

Nero3, meet Metalman. One of our most charming stalwarts. He runs "Metalman's Finishing School for Ladies and Gents" where they teach good drawing room manners. They train ambassadors and all sorts of dignitaries.

Ah, great, I can see why you need EJ to do your thinking.

i have no way of knowing when you're going to start being right and ej wrong so i know when to stop listening to ej and start listening to you.

since you are not willing to share your past record of practical and non-academic forecasts then depending on the outcome of your bull market call your record here will consist of a single accurate forecast over, what, six months? vs itulip's dozen or so over 10+ yrs. hard to be lucky that many times over such a long period. nothing to keep you from building a comparable track record. it will take five or ten years but you won't find anyone here who's not open to it.

                      Very funny Lukester.

But you do have to give it up to the Man of Metal.

I am from Venezuela originally, but I try to communicate exclusively in English. Sometimes my English is not as good as it should be. Especially in writing. I took no offense at your comments, I think I understood the humor. My confusion is regards the graphs that Nero3 posted to challenge the iTulip graph (Real Dow). I simply do not understand the new graphs and how they relate.

Those on this web forum are very gracious. I appreciate your wisdom.

Metalman, with respect - how many times have you dusted off this spiel with newcomers here? It's all likely true in a notable extent, but I read it every time we have some intelligent and independent minded new commenter on these pages. Have a beer. Put your feet up. We are going into the Easter weekend. Throw a rotten vegetable at Lukester. Kick the house cat for good measure. Feel good about what you've managed to salvage from the mayhem all around us. Nero3 is a smart cookie. He will adopt what he wishes to about the iTulip thesis along the way, and no more. All in due course. Eh?

Nah man, it's Nero who should show respect and answer some questions if he's going to stand by his calls. His take is welcome, but so far, when challenged on salient points about the iTulip thesis, he's ducked. Why come to iTulip to post contrary views without the balls to back them up?
