OTTAWA — The United States will impose a 10 per cent customs duty on some of Canada's softwood-lumber imports, as the two countries renew their long and litigious dispute over forest products.
The action is renewing fears Washington is about to move aggressively to protect its resource sector during a recession that has already eliminated 5.1 million American jobs...
..."Washington is a pretty active place these days, and it's a situation where you have to tread very carefully with what you're doing under any trade agreement with the U.S.," he said...
