Make no mistake this car is MEGA.............It cost less than half the cost of the next cheapest car in India. At present your average Indian has to ship himself & wife + Children on a small Motor bike.

Not fun, not safe & the Monsoon's can make it rather Wet for everyone.

World oil demand will recover quickly & will be "Driven" by this.

Tata has successfully manufactured and sold cars in the Indian market for many years. None of their cars meet the quality, durability or safety standards of Western Europe or North America, but they do just fine in their home market, and a few select other third world markets, like Egypt, where automobiles are generally very expensive. Why do you think they can't succeed with the Nano, which is attempting to broaden that market into a new customer cohort at the entry level?
