People on Social Security and certain veterans and their survivors will receive $250 apiece within the next few months as part of the federal stimulus package.

Is this a low key replay of last year's farcical stimulus goose? I'm happy for the recepients but what's the politics in play around this low cost (these daze) play? A preview of tax $$$ supplements to various social strata to partially offset Fed inflation with a zero leverage work force?

Last year's Republican mail out was like Aspirin. This year the Dems are trying Tylenol. The government thinks the patient has a headache.

Doesn't seem to understand it's actually a heart attack from debt clogged arteries. In the meantime the US economy suffers permanent damage from the lack of oxygen...

If inflation is coming, they had better have a lot of these social checks to keep the sheeple in line. I think this is less "stimulus" and more a bribe.

But those of us on SS don't get the $400 tax credit that those that are working get.
